If you come to Costa Rica you have to eat a Casado, that is going to be our lunch, this typical meal is packed with carbs that will provide the energy to continue with our journey through single track trails a bit more fast and technical than the ones from the beginning, these will take us to Jaco Beach, one of the most popular beach towns in the Central Pacific.

Day 2: We will explore everything the rainforest from the central pacific area has to offer, after a nice lunch we will start going back to the San Jose area going through different trails.

Terrain: Rocky and clay in mountains, wet at the rain forests, cloud forest, rivers to cross. Dry and sandy at the volcano.

Weather: Warm and humid during the day, rain depending on the season, colder in the afternoon and evening.

Day 1: We will start with nice and easy trails around the area of Santa Ana to get to know the bikes and get familiar with the terrain, the main destination of our trip will be the Turrialba Volcano going through the Cartago. Cartago province is a small and peaceful province located in the central valley of Costa Rica, bordering the provinces of San José and Limó. It is a visually stunning province with a cool climate and 8 cantons teeming with vast sugar cane fields, extensive coffee plantations and rich farm lands. We will have the joy to ride really fun trails until we get close to the volcano (the park is currently closed due to volcanic activity) but there is plenty to do around, we will spend the night in a hotel that is also a cheese farm, the temperature out night can go down to 5 degrees Celsius depending on the season.

Day 2: If you ever wonder what is like to be in Mars, we think that day 2 of this trip will interest you, even if the Cartago provinces is known for its lush vegetation, we will ride through some areas of old lava flows and ash during our journey. This is evidence that the area was once home to rivers that flowed with hot magma from the volcano. We will continue riding in beautiful forests with fun and technical trails while we go back to the Santa Ana area, we will not be repeating any trails on our way back.
